In "From Stress to Strength: Collective Healing for Community Impact," we’ll dive into how the relentless demands of social justice can impact our physical and emotional health. Chronic stress can trap us in a cycle of heightened "fight-or-flight" mode, making us more easily triggered, raising blood pressure and blood sugar levels, and ultimately compromising our well-being. This workshop addresses the connection between stress and our capacity to lead effectively, reminding us that to make meaningful change, we must first transform our own health and resilience.

Together, we will explore practical strategies to manage stress and restore balance. By incorporating mindfulness, meditation, a positive mental outlook, and other practices like hydration, exercise, movement, and prioritizing sleep, we can break free from this cycle. Participants will also learn the importance of nutrition and supplements in maintaining vitality. Through interactive discussion, we’ll empower each other to lead with clarity and strength, fostering a ripple effect of well-being that reaches both ourselves and our communities. Join us as we move from stress to strength, stepping into leadership with renewed health and purpose.
 
Part 1 will focus on delivering the foundational knowledge that we will later put into practice. This session is designed for you to listen, learn, and get curious.
 
Part 2 will be an interactive, workshop-style session, where you'll actively participate, collaborate, and put the concepts from Part 1 into practice. *Note that part 2 will not be recorded.*

ABOUT DR. SELASSIE

Dr. Patricia Pimentel Selassie received her Naturopathic Doctorate degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, and her bachelor’s degree from Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland.  

She is the founder of the New Flower Center for Naturopathic Medicine in Brooklyn, New York, and has two decades of clinical experience.
